The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is a standout smartphone. We take a close look at its key features and pick out the best deals available this week.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 at a glance
The Note 10 is touted as offering a "mobile experience that's like a computer, a gaming console, a move-tech camera and an intelligent pen, all in one device".
That's quite some billing. But it's fair to say the Note 10 has definitely got lots and lots to recommend it and pretty much lives up to Samsung's advertising claims.
It's a fine-looking smartphone, with a terrific, colourful 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen that takes up almost the entire front.
And unlike 2018's iPhone range that feature intrusive notches that take a big chunk out of the display, the Note 10 features a tiny pinhole front-facing camera.
That means it's much, much better for watching videos and gaming while you're on the go.
The Note 10's triple-lens camera is a standout too, with the Ultra-wide angle lens serving up terrific panoramic shots.
But where it particularly excels is video, with a brilliant mode that lets you record clips with so-called 'bokeh' background blur.
The S-Pen is the Note range's trademark. And the Note 10's S-Pen is more useful than ever. Just jot down notes in your handwriting and the Note 10 will turn it into readable text you can share, with a single tap.
But that's not all. The 2019 S-Pen also lets you use it as a remote to control your Note 10 from afar with air gestures. Taking a photo? You can now use the S-Pen to zoom in or out, adjust the volume and browse through photos.
Finally, the Note 10 has a huge 3,500 mAh battery, with a fast-charge mode that compares well to other top-end smartphones.
In a first for the Note range, the Note 10 features two-way charging. That means you'll be able to share your battery charge with friends and family just by placing a compatible handset on the Note 10's rear section.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 design and screen
The Note 10 is big and beautiful in equal measures. Although lighter and thinner than the Note 9, it still makes room for a 6.4-inch SuperAMOLED screen that serves up some of the punchiest colours and crispest images we've seen on any handset.
Constructed from a blend of metal and glass, the Note 10 feels every inch a premium smartphone. And although it doesn't deviate too much from Samsung's earlier models, you're left in no doubt that it's a top-of-the-range device.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 battery
The Note 10 battery isn't the best around. But unless you're a really heavy user, it'll easily get you through a full day's use on a single charge.
In the event that you're running low, the fast-charge mode is genuinely very impressive. We found it generally got us from zero to 40-45% in just under an hour.
That's using the 25W charger supplied in the box. If you use a 45W charger (sold separately) you'll get even better results.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 camera specifications
The Note 10's 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens, 12-megapixel regular lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens combine for a really great smartphone camera experience. One that makes it easy to get striking photos, while offering enough extra modes and features to keep seasoned photographers happy too.
Debuting on the Note range is Live Focus. This allows you to apply the same blurred-background effect that you're familiar with on bokeh portraits photos to video footage too. The results are arty and dramatic in equal measures.
Also new is the AR Doodle mode, which lets you to write over moving images using the S-Pen stylus. It's a fun feature and one that's sure to add a bit of pizazz to your Instagram account.
