There’s a lot to like about the OnePlus 6T. It's extremely quick, has a top-end design and a crisp OLED display. But owners of the OnePlus 6 seeking an upgrade may want to look elsewhere.

The OnePlus 6T is another triumph of premium specs at mid-range prices. With this solid all-rounder, you’re assured of a smooth user experience, a high-end design and new features, such as the fingerprint scanner.
In terms of build, it’s very similar to the OnePlus 6, and so there may not be enough here to justify an upgrade. That said, it’s still a very appealing phone with a longer lasting battery than the 6, all-screen design and handy fast charge. It also has the same 6 and 20-megapixel dual-cameras as its predecessor, which take decent snaps.
There is no wireless charging and it doesn’t have a headphone jack (although these days, which phones do?), but this is still an impressive handset with a reasonable price tag.
Cheap OnePlus 6T deals
Mid-range handsets won’t hit your pocket quite as hard as premium handsets do. But there are still different ways to pay for a mobile contract - particularly if you don’t want to pay an upfront fee.
On mobile contracts, some suppliers will vary the upfront fee against the monthly contract fee you’ll pay, so it’s worth considering how you’d like to split your costs. Some require a large sum upfront and then a lower monthly fee, while others flip this and include a higher monthly fee, but you’ll pay less upfront.
To get a contract deal at the lowest possible cost, you can...
- Choose an MVNO or budget network, such as giffgaff or Sky Mobile. These networks have lower operating costs, and therefore cost you less too.
- Go for a lower allowance or lower internal storage size - but make sure you still have enough to cover you for the next two years.
- Get a refurbished model which has been previously owned or returned.
- Buy through a reseller - like Carphone Warehouse or Buymobiles, which offer pay-monthly contracts at cheaper rates
OnePlus 6T deals with no upfront cost
Some mobile networks include a “free device” in their contracts. This means there is no upfront fee to pay - but it also means you’ll be paying a higher monthly fee, as the overall cost of the handset is spread over the duration of the contract. On the plus side, you get a new OnePlus 6T without paying out hundreds of pounds at the start of your contract.
Compare network deals and vary the amount you’re comfortable paying upfront against the amount you want to pay each month, until you land on the right balance.
OnePlus 6T contracts with bad credit
These days, most mobile networks will carry out a credit check. Of course, if you have bad credit, this can be a problem. But it doesn’t have to be - there are still plenty of deals you can sign up to.
Refurbished OnePlus 6T deals
Don't mind a pre-owned phone? Then you could save yourself a fair bit of money by opting for a refurbished OnePlus 6T. You can rest assured that all refurbished phones will be in good working order.
OnePlus 6T refurbished contracts
You can, of course, save money by buying a refurbished OnePlus 6T off-contract and then signing up for a low-cost SIM-only deal. But there are also plenty of monthly contracts too, which will allow you to spread the cost of the handset over the course of the contract term.
OnePlus 6T certified refurbished deals
When you buy a OnePlus 6T phone described as 'certified refurbished', you're getting a phone that's been checked over by the manufacturer and found to meet certain standards that mean it's acceptable for resale.
