To get your Google Pixel 6 Pro ready for sale, you need to make sure it’s backed up so you don’t lose precious pictures, messages and other files. It’s easy to do.

Open Settings, hit Google and then Backup. If you’ve not done this before, choose Back Up By Google One and follow the instructions on screen.

We also recommend wiping your phone before sending it, as this will keep you secure in the unlikely event the phone gets lost in the mail.

Do I need to wipe my Google Pixel 6 Pro before selling?

You don’t have to, but you’ll need to turn off all security on your Google Pixel 6 Pro so that your recycler can do it for you.
