This Autumn, Apple launches its newest flagship smartphone range. Here’s everything we think the iPhone 12 Pro will have to offer…
Apple’s newest flagship smartphone, the iPhone 12 Pro, is predicted to hit shelves sometime this Autumn. But how will it be different from last year's iPhone 11 Pro?
Here’s all the latest rumours…
Most of the rumours we've seen so far point towards a significant makeover. Indeed, fans of 2012's iPhone 5 will be pleased to hear that Apple has reportedly based the look of its new handsets on the stalwart smartphone. In theory, then, the iPhone 12 Pro might come with smoother edges and rounded corners, as well as a smaller notch to house its selfie-camera.
We're also confident that the iPhone 12 Pro will be one of four new smartphones from Apple and, in terms of size, will fit somewhere in the middle:
|iPhone 12 Max||6.1-inches|
|iPhone 12 Pro||6.1-inches|
|iPhone 12 Pro Max||6.7-inches|
Unlike the standard iPhone 12, the Pro variant will supposedly feature sport an impressive triple-lens rear camera, similar to the iPhone 11 Pro.
There’s also talk of a LiDAR sensor for a better augmented reality experience, just like the latest iPad Pro.
Disappointingly, some online leakers reckon the battery life on the iPhone 12 series will leave a lot to be desired.
Here’s what reports suggest battery-life could look like:
|iPhone 12 Max||2775mAh|
|iPhone 12 Pro||2775mAh|
|iPhone 12 Pro Max||3687mAh|
The iPhone 12 Pro will probably come in three different storage variants. Here’s what they might cost, SIM-free:
- iPhone 12 Pro, 128GB: £1,049
- iPhone 12 Pro, 256GB: £1,149
- iPhone 12 Pro, 512GB: £1,349
Unfortunately, due to the current coronavirus pandemic, Apple says the release of the iPhone 12 Pro will likely be pushed back from its usual mid-September launch date. We’re hearing rumours that the phone could drop sometime in October – maybe even November.
