As inseparable as we are from them, it’s surprising how many of us don’t know our own phone model. It’s an iPhone... it’s a Samsung... Yes, but what model? It’s silver. Hmmm...
There are a number of ways to determine the model of your phone. The easiest way is to check the back of the phone. No luck? Take a look at the box. Though let’s face it, that’s probably long gone.
Find your model by manufacturer
Follow our instructions below to find out more:
Apple
- Visit Apple Support for instructions on how to identify your iPhone model. Find my phone
Samsung
- Visit Samsung Support and follow the steps to identify your phone. Find my phone
OnePlus
- On your phone, go to Settings > About Phone > Model
- Make a note of the model number
- Visit OnePlus Support to match the model number to the model name. Find my phone
Huawei
- On your phone, go to Settings > System > Model
- Make a note of the model number
- Visit Huawei Support to search the model number (e.g. "CLT-L09") and find the model name. Find my phone
Google/Nexus
- First check the back of your phone for the model name
- If it’s not there, go to Settings > Systems > About phone
- Tap Regulatory labels
- There will be a pop-up showing the model
Sony
- On your phone, go to Settings > System > About Phone
- Make a note of the model number
- Visit Sony Support and then enter your model number. Find my phone
LG
- Check beneath the battery of your phone and look for a model name beginning with “LG”.
- Alternatively, you can go to Settings > About phone > Phone Identity
