Double check this is the right Apple device with this product description:Released in September 2014, the iPhone 6 was Apple’s innovative response to critics everywhere – showing that they could catch up with other smartphone leaders on the market.
Coming with a smart new look, NFC and a bigger, sharper display it was quite the hit over the opening weekend. But with new devices flooding the market every month we’re hardly surprised your trading in. Here’s how to make sure you’re selling the right iPhone.
Features and specs
The iPhone 6 is easily recognisable when trying to tell it apart from the iPhone 6 Plus, simply because of its size. It measures in at a full length of 5.44 inches – which is a lot smaller than the phablet-sized iPhone 6 Plus which measures in at a hefty 6.22 inches. This means you should actually be able to hold the smaller iPhone 6 quite easily in your hand.
It comes in Silver, Gold and Space Grey in three storage sizes – 16GB, 64GB and 128 GB. You’ll be able to tell which version you have by looking at the ‘General’ section in your ‘Settings’ menu.
The display measures at 4.7 inches and has a resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels. You’ll also note the Touch ID fingerprint sensor, featured on the iPhone 5S too, but it has more functions with the iPhone 6 – allowing people to make mobile payments via NFC using Apple Pay. You might remember that it was the first iPhone to do this.
It also comes with a better rear-facing camera – 8MP with autofocus and dual-LED flash – and a 1.2MP front-facing camera for selfies and FaceTime. The battery’s better, as a non-removable 1810 mAh battery which should give you much more talk time and it also runs on the Apple A8 CPU which should make for a speedy experience.
Do you own the iPhone 6? Want to trade it in for cash towards your upgrade? We don’t blame you – check out the best places to sell your old phone today.
