The Nokia 6500 Classic was one of the slimmest mobile phones when it was released in May 2007. The 6500 Classic was welcomed by countless users who were tired of carrying heavy and bulky mobile phones which often would not fit in their pockets. The camera was another welcome addition. Though slightly mediocre at 2MP it was better than what most phones provided.

Product Features:
  • The Nokia 6500 Classic is extremely sleek and classy with dimensions of 109.8x45x9.5mm and weighing just 94g.
  • The mobile phone comes with an internal memory of 1GB which is not extendable.
  • The handset has a 2MP camera which also supports VGA video recording.
  • The display screen of the mobile phone is an impressive 16M color and QVGA.
  • The handset also supports 3G networks.
  • The Nokia 6500 Classic also has Bluetooth along with A2DP support.

The Nokia 6500 Classic was a fitting successor to the 6300 and 6230. However the handset was prone to finger prints and did not have any microSD slot. The mobile phone also did not have FM radio or video calls with the main camera despite supporting 3G networks. Many users also complained of the changed keyboard styling as uncomfortable. But the Nokia 6500 Classic stood in good stead because of its slim designing against most of its competitors.

But if you are still using the Nokia 6500 Classic you are missing out on the latest features like Wi-Fi, video calling, improved camera, HD video recording, internet browsing, etc. However if you are thinking of a mobile phone upgrade then do not yet think of simply throwing away your old mobile phone. Instead you can sell it online to recycle it and increase its lifespan. Recycling your mobile phone will also help protect the environment while helping you make some extra money in the process.
