Brief History of the iPod

The very first iPod was released onto the market back in 2001 and was named the iPod Classic. Since then there have been 5 more generations of the Classic iPod with each version improving on the last becoming; slimmer, faster, in colour, silver framed instead of white and having increased storage capacity.

The iPod Mini lasted two generations and was then discontinued after the success of the iPod Nano, which is now on its 6th generation, the most notable of which was the 5G, which was the first iPod to include a video camera.

The iPod Touch was the first iPod to have Wi-Fi and a Multi Touch interface and is now also on it 4th generation. Much like the new iPhone, the IPod Touch 4G includes two cameras for FaceTime and enables video recording.

Selling your iPod

Perhaps one of the main annoyances, as well as best elements about Apple is that they’re always looking to improve on old products and release new ones. This can mean that a 6 month old purchase can suddenly become old when a smaller, faster version becomes available. If you are now at this stage it can become very natural to think “I’ve got to sell my iPod so I can get a new one.”

It is good if you are thinking of selling your iPod, instead of just throwing it away, as throwing it away in this manner is bad for the environment. You are right to think about different ways to sell it and even more so if you have decided to go with the idea of recycling because not only are you supporting recyclers in their efforts to save the environment but you will also find it is better for yourself monetarily.

Comparison sites, such as this one, can help you find the best price by searching through all UK recyclers of iPods and presenting the results, so that you can see what everyone is offering. The process is extremely fast, all you need to do is enter iPod into the search box, click enter and then the site does all the hard work for you.

Once presented with the results, you need to choose the deal you want; select your preferred payment option and you’re done. All you need to do is follow simple posting instructions and you’ll be paid promptly and well on your way.
